Found (by husband) and purchased at an antique store in Sebastopol. It’s in “perfect” condition! Oh goodness…please excuse my cheesiness.
Anyway, I have not been able to find any information on Perfecta typewriters. Is there a typewriter enthusiast/collector that can tell me when it was manufactured, or where to find ribbon, or anything else? Please contact me or comment below!

This sewing project has been sitting around the house for over a year without being touched… until now! It is an extremely roomy knitting tote with cord handles, magnetic snap, contrast thread, and outer pockets – two for needles and two smaller ones for odds and ends (or more needles as shown).
I did not use a tutorial or pattern, which leaves a lot of room for mistakes and afterthoughts. So… the next one I make, I will sew in a large inner pocket to keep knitting projects and assorted notes tucked away. Great idea, huh? And probably a different choice of fabric as well, and… the list goes on.
Have I mentioned that I need a new camera? Once or twice, maybe. *grin*

Here’s a closer look…

A little side note: the thrifted, torn chair is a restoration project.

For the moms, moms-to-be, and wanna-be-moms: Check out Makie Clothier!
I love these looks for children (and adults too!) – neutral tones, simple, sophisticated with cute little details and trimmings.

For little women:

For adult women (yes!):

A little side note: This was my first attempt at sewing a pair of baby bloomers from a Japanese Makie pattern book a few years back. If you are interested in sewing your own, I purchased my copy here.
Just kidding.
I made a skirt today from this *very* easy tutorial via Aux petits oiseaux.
It’s floral. It’s red. Hmmm. Just in time for Valentine’s Day.

A little closer.

Photos of all of the “red” items in my crafting nook:
Left to right (clockwise): a mini Lazzaroni amaretti tin, Alexander Girard notecards, a sentimental clown finger puppet (found in SF more than a decade ago), a French Baguette bag with ribbon hanging from this dispenser, today’s handmade skirt, and Florence Broadhurst: Her Secret and Extraordinary Lives by Helen O’Neill.
…and joining this circus tomorrow night!

Okay, so we are only watching the performance – I am still excited!
One morning last week, my husband surprised me with Diana. It was out of the blue – no special occasion. Those are the best surprises, don’t you think?
Very sweet.
I am on my second roll of film and can’t wait to share! Check out this site for more info on Diana and lomography.

Some of my handiwork for 99designs. Most of the logos did not work out (and looking back, I can see why), but it was a lot of fun creating them and putting this together.
Feel free to leave feedback or comment on them. I welcome the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Sorry if this hurts your eyes!!
We are in the process of changing a few things and making it cleaner around here, but everything takes time.
Time is not on our side, so this might take a few weeks.
Certain songs get stuck in my head and I like to play them over and over. It’s sick. Really sick.
Does anybody else have this problem? *grin*
This is my current song obsession:
