Bravissimo!

As you may (or may not) know, we moved, down-sized, and after two months, I am *still* in the process of tossing, selling, and donating items.  Most of our items fall under the “tossing” category.  You name it, and between husband and myself, we most likely had a collection of it.  That may be slightly exaggerated, but it’s probably closer to the truth than you think.

One example is our small collection of magazines and department store catalogs from the 1960-70s.  Yes, these will be filed in the recycling bin (sorry, husband!), but I am grabbing some pics before I toss them.

The photos below are straight out of a 1970 issue of Redbook.

Italian…chairs…love!

Oh, also, if you are interested, I posted a few more photos from the same magazine here.

My great, great grandmother wrote to my grandmother with the loveliest penmanship on these postcards (see below), dated 1930s from Ascona, Switzerland.

Beautiful.

Collections

As I continue to rummage through our old storage boxes, getting ready for a move, I am finding more and more things I used to collect.  Some are sentimental (like this) and others are…well, just because.

A few of my collections include fabric, music, vintage hats and brooches, wrapping paper, nose flutes and kazoos, socks – is this getting a little too weird for you?

Yes.  I’ll stop, but there is one more collection I would like to share.

It is one of my favorites:  chopsticks.

What are your favorite collections?
