The Swing and I

Husband and I went on a little excursion today – some antique shops in the area and one of the neighborhood parks.

I love swings – wheeee!

A roomy teeter totter:

And something you don’t see everyday:

Pink Grapefruit Yogurt Cakes

Little bundt cakes…aren’t they cute?  And yummy too.  They are the definitely gift-sized – easy to mail and the recipient won’t have to worry about gaining ten pounds.  You can find the recipe here.  Note:  (if it is not completely obvious to you already) I used a mini bundt pan that makes six cakes total.   Bad photo again!

R.I.P. Mollie Sugden

Mollie Sugden aka Mrs. Solcombe, from the 1972 British sitcom, Are You Being Served?, passed away on July 1, 2009 – age 86.

Read about it on BBC.  It is one of the funniest shows of all time.  Watch an episode here.

Summer Squash and Potatoes

From our garden, the gold and purple potato:

And the summer squash:

All washed and ready to go!  My husband sent me this recipe, which would be perfect for anybody who has crazy amounts of squash and potatoes in their garden.  Check it out.
