Book labels! I was inspired by this stamp from a California State Textbook, 1961.
If you have an ever-growing book collection, wouldn’t it be nice to look inside each book and know who it is from? I also thought about the many books I have purchased at thrift stores and antique shops, and to know (if there is not an inscription inside) whose book I have found, and now cherish. Terribly sentimental and a little curious, I suppose. Check them out here and let me know what you think!

I received a new MOMA catalog in the mail today and this made me smile…

…to whomever is having a birthday out there…

… and something to celebrate the beginning of autumn (3 days later!) – pear and chocolate cake via Smitten Kitchen. Yum! I cheated a bit and used chocolate chips in place of the chocolate chunks. Chocolate chunks would have made a prettier picture.

Have I mentioned that I would really like a new camera?
This was designed for a start-up in Dublin, Ireland called Urban Picnic. I love their idea of offering a high quality lunch service to office workers via the bicycle. No website yet, but I am keeping an eye out for it!
