Shop Update

Book labels!  I was inspired by this stamp from a California State Textbook, 1961.

If you have an ever-growing book collection, wouldn’t it be nice to look inside each book and know who it is from?  I also thought about the many books I have purchased at thrift stores and antique shops, and to know (if there is not an inscription inside) whose book I have found, and now cherish.  Terribly sentimental and a little curious, I suppose.  Check them out here and let me know what you think!

Beautiful Lettering

Almost forgot to mention this!  Okay…so I really didn’t forget, but I had to say something at this early hour just so I could use the “A”.  *grin*  You can find more letters here by Jessica Hische.

Half-Pint

I received a new MOMA catalog in the mail today and this made me smile…

Happy Birthday

…to whomever is having a birthday out there…

… and something to celebrate the beginning of autumn (3 days later!) – pear and chocolate cake via Smitten Kitchen.  Yum!  I cheated a bit and used chocolate chips in place of the chocolate chunks.  Chocolate chunks would have made a prettier picture.

Have I mentioned that I would really like a new camera?

Urban Picnic

This was designed for a start-up in Dublin, Ireland called Urban Picnic.  I love their idea of offering a high quality lunch service to office workers via the bicycle.  No website yet, but I am keeping an eye out for it!

Update:  Check them out here.
