What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Tomorrow with my husband’s aunt, Lucy – I am so excited!:
at the War Memorial Opera House, San Francisco:
I promise this is the last pumpkin-related post for the rest of the year since Christmas is right around the corner.
You are free for 22 days. Yay!
These were made for our Thanksgiving holiday and I couldn’t help but share this recipe (via Smitten Kitchen) with you. No swirlies, but I added toasted pecan pieces over the top. An afterthought: I should have added dark chocolate chips or chunks into the mix as well. Yum. Maybe next year?!
This visit has been on our to-do list for a *long* time and we finally made it! Since we had been in South California (I like to call it that because of this song) for Thanksgiving, we decided to stop by the Eames’ house on the way home – hoping to take a peek at the house or tour the grounds. Okay. So, we got to do both and here are a few photos (taken by my husband) from the “tour”. Oh! They had a swing on the grounds too, but not shown below – it was in use when we arrived. Yes, so disappointing. *grin*

Me + bangs + curtsy?
Visit sometime:
This post has been hanging out in my “drafts” folder.

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving holiday. We spent our holiday in Laguna Beach with my husband’s family. It was 80° outside – crazy! It is November, right? Okay. Just the wrong place to be when you want to wear sweaters, scarves, and mittens and feel the cool, crisp air hit against your face, and sip your favorite warm beverage by a fireplace. Ah… just daydreaming for a second. Back to the reality of it all: We had a delicious Thanksgiving feast at this restaurant, stayed at a hotel for three nights (and took iPhone photos of the interior textiles – what a nerd), had two mini family reunions (on the husband’s side), and drank enough coffee to make us sick. Have you ever experienced a Thanksgiving like this before?
My nerdy hotel interior textile photos:
We hit the road tomorrow for a short 10-hour drive home. Ha!
Autumn leaves from our neighborhood:
Yarn leaves for an upcoming project (via A Little Hut) – they are made out of empty paper towel rolls:
