This is one of my latest illustrations and now for sale as a square note card with a raspberry-colored envelope – take a look in my shop.
It could pair up nicely with homemade bath salts, soaps, or tea samples. A spa gift certificate, perhaps?
What do you think?

Also, an updated thank you note:

My dear dad is turning 60 this year and I made these Italian-inspired invitations for the special occasion. Why Italian? Firstly, that is one question you should never have to ask. *grin* Secondly, with a last name like Lavagnino, how can you not?

The cover. If you look close enough (I don’t recommend this), you can see our printer was getting a little tired at this point. This copy was in the “extras” pile.

The inside (smudged for a little privacy):
The insert:

…sends very cute birthday notes with a candle necklace and in-store discount attached. What could I use it on? Hmmm. Maybe this tank, this tunic or this dress (if they have it in my size?!) or I could close my eyes and pick anything from their selection of tights. *grin*

The back:

…to whomever is having a birthday out there…

… and something to celebrate the beginning of autumn (3 days later!) – pear and chocolate cake via Smitten Kitchen. Yum! I cheated a bit and used chocolate chips in place of the chocolate chunks. Chocolate chunks would have made a prettier picture.

Have I mentioned that I would really like a new camera?
I am completely finished with the scarf + goodies package for the ISE7….yay! The person I had to knit a scarf for wanted one to wrap around her neck, head and the works! Because of the length, it was quite awkward to wash and block – especially with Thomas (see below) around! I hope she will be happy with the scarf. It is so soft! I added some extra goodies that are also some of her personal favorites: two skeins of Manos del Uruguay, a blank journal with gel pens, and Burt’s Bee lip stash.

Handmade card:

Alfalfa-haired boy plus mushroom-head girl. *grin* I have been on this illustration kick lately. It is a nice change of scenery. Paper versus the notebook, but here I am again (blogging this). I can’t seem to stay away for too long.
